Hi, usually you can leave your cat with his or her vet under those circumstances. Inquire in your vet's office.

I would not recommend you board your cats away from home unless absolutely no other choice. Cats get super stressed when outside of their usual environments and do not usually do well at all caged up in a strange place.
If your cats are free ranged feeders and just mill around your house, then it will be easy for you to leave them home alone.
All you have to do is put enough food to last them for that period of time. Cats are not like dogs, and will not eat every drop of food just because they can see it. They know how to pace themselves, they use the bathroom in their litterbox without needing someone to clean it up every second, and they do not need to have attention 24/7 like a needy dog.
I have left my cats at home alone many times (up to 2 weeks as the longest). They are happy to be home, and left with plenty of water (in large quantities), plenty of hard kibble food (in large quantities) and additional litter box filled with sand. I leave them closed in one room of the house, so they are not confined to a cage, they have their kitty condo, toys, etc.
That is one of the things I love about cats...they are very independent creatures. =+
If you have a relative in the area that can go to your house to check on the cat(s) at least 1x per week...it would also be a ease on your mind that they are home alone. I can say it would be difficult on the cat if ever you leave them outside the home, when you come back they may be a very changed, cat...by way of being skittish, nervous, and not themselves anymore for at least a few weeks after the fact.

I agree with Ms. CC. It is better to keep your pet at home even if you are away. It should keep her stress levels down.
This was a huge concern for me too when I was planning my trip. Ultimately, I decided to hire someone known to both me and my dog to house and dogsit for the duration of my trip.
